Brady M4-47-422 B-422 Polyester Labels, 25.4 x 12.7 mm, 480 per Cartridge

Brady B-422 (ToughBond) is a black-on-white polyester label for Brady M4 and M5 series printers. This listing has five die-cut label cartridges, from 12.7 x 12.7 mm to 19.05 x 38.1 mm with 180 to 480 labels each, and six continuous tape cartridges from 9.53 to 38.1 mm wide, each 7.6 m (25 ft) (manufacturer-stated). B-422 is a halogen-free polyester, 0.10 mm thick, with an aggressive permanent acrylic adhesive and a gloss finish. It works from -40 to 100 °C in service (manufacturer-stated). Brady lists it as chemical, corrosion, humidity, UV and weather resistant, suited to high surface energy, low surface energy and rough surfaces, and says it resists abrasion, extreme temperatures and solvents including alcohol, oil and water (manufacturer-stated). Brady lists UL recognition to UL969, CSA to C22.2 No. 0.15-95 and RoHS compliance to 2011/65/EU for the material (manufacturer-stated). UL969 and C22.2 are North American standards, and Brady's data sheets can tie this recognition to a specific ribbon, so ask us if the approval matters for your job. Die-cut codes such as M4-47-422 are pre-cut labels. Codes starting M4C or M5C are continuous tape, and the number after them is the width in thousandths of an inch (500 is 0.5 in, 12.7 mm). Two numbers identify each product. The product code is the alphanumeric code printed on the cartridge, and it is the code to search for or quote. Selecting the right option

Choose die-cut labels when you want the same size every time, and tape when the length changes. Sizes for die-cut labels are listed width first, then height. Brady lists these products as supplied with ribbon (manufacturer-stated). For long outdoor life the B-595 vinyl label tape cartridges is the better match, with Brady quoting 8 to 10 years against the 1 year on its M4C-1000-422 page.
