Beaver 3S Industrial Lever Block, 0.25 t (250 kg), 1.5 m Lift (506025)

Beaver 3S industrial manual lever blocks are hand lever blocks with a Grade 80 load chain, rated from 250 kg to 6,300 kg in six codes, with a 1.5 m standard lift and a colour code for each rated capacity (manufacturer-stated). Beaver describes lever blocks as versatile lifting and tensioning devices widely used in rigging, construction and mining, and says they can be used in any direction but must be used in a straight line (manufacturer-stated).

Beaver says the lever blocks comply with AS 1418.2 (manufacturer-stated). Load chain

Beaver's website describes the load chain on the 250 kg and 500 kg general purpose lever blocks as Grade 80 and zinc plated, and the chain on the 800 kg to 6,300 kg blocks as black finish, heat treated alloy steel (manufacturer-stated). The manual describes the chain as black finish for the range as a whole, so check the chain finish on the block you receive if it matters to you.

Underground mining

Beaver describes the stainless steel ID plates and rivets as avoiding dangerous sparking and says this makes the blocks suited to underground mining (manufacturer-stated). Confirm your site's requirements for equipment used underground before ordering.

Selecting the right option

Choose the rated capacity to suit the load, allowing for the weight of rigging such as slings and shackles, then check the headroom H and the effort on the lever. The test load is a figure Beaver lists for each code and is not a working load, so do not lift to it. If you are unsure, ask AIMS or a qualified rigger.
