Beaver G70 Gold Clevis Grab Hook with Wings, 6 mm Chain, 2,300 kg LC (354006)

Beaver G70 Gold clevis grab hooks with wings suit Grade 70 lashing chain from 6 mm to 13 mm, with lashing capacities (LC) of 2,300 kg to 9,000 kg. Beaver states that they are Grade 70 "Gold" Hi Tensile fittings with a zinc di-chromate (gold finish) and that they comply with AS/NZS 4344.

Beaver notes that some grab hooks, and systems that use them, bend the link of the lashing chain the hook is engaged on. Beaver states this reduces the strength of the chain by 25 percent, so the LC of this type of system must be reduced by 25 percent, as Beaver states AS/NZS 4344 prescribes.

Beaver marks all Grade 70 lashings and fittings as not to be used for lifting purposes and not approved for lifting. Use this product for load restraint only.

LC is the lashing capacity published by Beaver. It is a load restraint rating, not a working load limit (WLL) for lifting.

Selecting the right option

Choose the size by the chain size it must match and the LC your load restraint needs, and keep every part of the restraint assembly (chain, binder, hooks and anchor points) matched to the same LC. When a grab hook is part of the system, reduce the LC by 25 percent as Beaver states. This product is not rated for lifting. Do not use it to lift or suspend loads. For lifting applications use a rated lifting product marked with a working load limit (WLL).
