Beaver Grade 80 Clevis Shortening Grab Hook 6 mm, 1.1 t WLL (886206)

Beaver Grade 80 clevis shortening grab hooks suit 6 mm to 22 mm Grade 80 chain, with working load limits (WLL) of 1,100 kg (1.1 t) to 15,000 kg (15 t). They are used to shorten chain sling legs.

Beaver states that its Grade 80 lifting components are made from heat treated alloy steel, are tested throughout manufacture, and meet AS 3776, Lifting Components for Grade T Chain Slings. They carry distinguishing marks, including the brand, grade and size and a date of manufacture and batch ID.

Selecting the right option

Choose the size by the WLL and the chain size it must match, and make sure every part of the assembly (chain, link, hook and lifting point) is Grade 80 and rated for the load. Use a grab hook as the manufacturer intends, with the chain seated in the hook, and do not tip load it. Lifting equipment must be used within its marked working load limit (WLL), inspected before each use, and selected and used in line with your site lifting procedure and the relevant Australian Standards.
