Beaver Grade 80 Eye Shortening Grab Hook 13 mm, 5.3 t WLL (885313)
Available
Beaver Grade 80 eye shortening grab hooks suit 6 mm to 20 mm Grade 80 chain, with working load limits (WLL) of 1,100 kg (1.1 t) to 12,500 kg (12.5 t). Beaver states they connect to couplers, shackles and wire rope slings and are used to shorten chain sling legs, and that supporting lugs on each side help prevent chain link deformation and loss of WLL.
Beaver states that its Grade 80 lifting components are made from heat treated alloy steel, are tested throughout manufacture, and meet AS 3776, Lifting Components for Grade T Chain Slings. They carry distinguishing marks, including the brand, grade and size and a date of manufacture and batch ID.
Beaver states that eye grab hooks are not suitable for tip loading.

Selecting the right option
Choose the size by the WLL and the chain size it must match, and make sure every part of the assembly (chain, link, hook and lifting point) is Grade 80 and rated for the load. Load the grab hook in the body of the hook, not on the tip: Beaver states these hooks are not suitable for tip loading. Lifting equipment must be used within its marked working load limit (WLL), inspected before each use, and selected and used in line with your site lifting procedure and the relevant Australian Standards. If you are unsure what suits your lift, contact AIMS or a qualified rigger before ordering.
