Beaver Electric Single Phase Mini Hoist, 250 kg, 240V (BMI1025)
Available
The Beaver electric single phase mini hoist, code BMI1025, is a 240 volt, 50 Hz single phase wire rope hoist with a rated capacity of 250 kg, a lifting speed of 12 m/min and a net weight of 30 kg (manufacturer-stated). Beaver lists it in its electric winches range and describes it as lifting small loads that are too heavy to handle by hand and as robust enough for building sites (manufacturer-stated).
Beaver lists a lifting height of 20 m for the BMI1025 and supplies 20 m of galvanised wire rope with it (manufacturer-stated). Confirm the rope length supplied when you order. Beaver also lists a 150 kg model, BMI1015, which AIMS does not carry.
Beaver's website states the hoist to AS 1418.2 Section 5 (manufacturer-stated); its manual does not give a standard for this model. Beaver does not publish the load at which the overload clutch operates. Lifting equipment must be used within its marked working load limit (WLL), inspected before each use, and selected and used in line with your site lifting procedure and the relevant Australian Standards. If you are unsure what suits your lift, contact AIMS or a qualified rigger before ordering.

Key specifications
| Code | Rated capacity (kg) | Speed (m/min) | Lifting height (m) | Input power (W) | Duty (% ED) | Rope diameter (mm) | Rope construction | Rope grade (as printed) | Weight (kg) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| BMI1025 | 250 | 12 | 20 | 1200 | 25 | 4.2 (website and manual) or 5.1 (data sheet) | 7 x 19 | G1960min | 30 |
Figures are from Beaver's Materials Handling Technical Manual (Vol. 4), data sheet and website. Beaver's data sheet gives the BMI1025 rope diameter as 5.1 mm while its website and manual say 4.2 mm, so confirm the diameter with AIMS before ordering replacement rope. Beaver prints the rope grade as G1960min without a unit. Beaver's website prints the BMI1025 lifting height as '2m0' (read as 20 m, which matches the rope supplied) and does not give a motor voltage; its manual gives 240 V single phase for the range.
Selecting the right option
Check your supply is 240 V single phase, and that the 250 kg rated capacity covers the heaviest load plus any rigging. The duty rating is 25% ED, which is lower than the Lift-All chain hoists, so check it against how often you lift. If you need more capacity or a higher duty rating, see the Lift-All electric chain hoists. If you are unsure, ask AIMS or a qualified rigger.
