Bossweld Forge Variable Shade Electronic Welding Helmet DIN 9-13
Available
The Bossweld Forge Variable Shade Electronic Welding Helmet is an auto-darkening helmet for everyday workshop and industrial arc welding. It has a variable shade range of DIN 9–13, a 93 x 43 mm viewing area, dual arc sensors and a grinding mode, and it shields the eyes and face from UV and IR radiation, sparks and heat.
The manufacturer states that the Forge suits MIG and stick (MMA) welding and is certified to AS/NZS 1337 and 1338. The shade is set by hand for the current you are welding at, with the arc sensors darkening the lens when the arc strikes. If your site or procedure specifies a lens rating or standard, check it against the manufacturer's documentation before ordering, and contact AIMS if you would like help confirming it.

Selecting the right option
The Forge shade range starts at DIN 9, so it does not include the lighter DIN 5–8 settings used for low-current work. If you weld at low amperage, or want a taller window, see the Bossweld X-Sight Series helmet (100 x 53 mm, dual range DIN 5–8 and 9–13, four sensors). Grinding mode is for grinding only: set the helmet back to a welding shade before you strike an arc. If you are unsure which helmet suits your work, contact AIMS before ordering.
