M6.5 x 55 mm Countersunk Head Sleeve Anchor, 316 Stainless Steel - CANA4M6X55

Made in 316 (A4) stainless steel, the Countersunk Head Sleeve Anchor is a sleeve anchor with a countersunk head that expands in drilled masonry or concrete as the screw is tightened.

A4 (316) stainless steel contains molybdenum (about 2 to 3 per cent), which improves its resistance to chlorides. It is the grade normally chosen for coastal, pool, marine and food-processing settings, and it costs more than A2 (304). Metric sizes are written M followed by the nominal thread diameter in millimetres, so M10 is a 10 mm thread.

The range runs to 8 variants, covering sizes M6.5 to M10 and lengths 55 mm to 100 mm. Pack quantities depend on size: packs of 50 to 100.

Stainless threads can gall (seize) when tightened under load or at speed. A smear of anti-seize on the thread and a steady tightening speed reduce the risk.
