CRC Electrical Silicone Multi-Use Lubricant 300g Aerosol

CRC Electrical Silicone is a multi-purpose silicone spray. CRC lists it for lubricating, waterproofing and protecting rubber, plastic, metal, nylon and wood, and for protecting and lubricating tools, hoists, jacks, locks, latches, switches, controls, zippers and pulleys.

Using it

Shake the can well.

De-energise equipment before applying, and do not spray on energised equipment.

Apply to a clean surface and spray a light, even film.

Repeat the application if necessary.

Storage and handling

Protect from sunlight and do not expose to temperatures above 50 °C. Keep away from heat and ignition sources. Do not pierce or burn the can, even after use. The pressurised container may burst if heated.

Limits and safety

SDS classification: signal word Danger. Extremely flammable aerosol (H222). Pressurised container: may burst if heated (H229). Transport class UN 1950, Aerosols, Class 2.1. Do not spray on energised equipment; aerosol cans conduct electricity. The flash point and specific gravity in the older TDS are for the concentrate without propellant and do not describe the aerosol can. Incompatible with oxidising agents (for example hypochlorites), acids (for example nitric acid), alkalis (for example sodium hydroxide) and heat and ignition sources.
