CRC Bio Degreaser 750ml Trigger Pack
Available
CRC Bio Degreaser is an industrial strength, water-based cleaner and degreaser that CRC says matches the performance of a solvent-based product. It is powered by a surfactant blend, contains no solvent and no ammonia, and includes a flash rust inhibitor.
It can be used full strength or diluted, and its self-splitting formula separates the soil from the cleaner for disposal. CRC lists engine parts, marine engines and bilges, engineering equipment and plant, workshop floors and bitumen coated tools. It is available in a 750ml trigger pack, a 5L bottle and a 20L drum.

Selecting the right option
For cleaning around food production or packaging equipment see the separate CRC product CRC Food Grade Bio Degreaser. For a solvent-based aerosol degreaser see CRC Aerosol Natural Degreaser Naturally Formulated Non-Corrosive 400g.
Using it
Soak, pre-wash or apply directly to a pre-tested surface. Allow the product to penetrate the soil, then wipe or rinse clean with water or a damp sponge. For heavily soiled items, remove excess debris with a scraper or wire brush first.
Dilution: full strength for very heavy grease, oil, sludge, grime, tyre marks and tools; 10:1 for general degreasing of relatively heavy soiling; 20:1 for hard surface cleaning to remove hand prints and light grease.
Storage and handling
Store in a cool, dry, well ventilated area, away from incompatible substances and foodstuffs. Keep containers labelled, protected from physical damage and sealed when not in use.
Limits and safety
SDS classification (revision 2.8): not classified as hazardous under Safe Work Australia criteria, with no signal word, pictograms or hazard statements, and not dangerous goods. Section 4.2 of the SDS says it may cause irritation to the eyes and skin. The pH is 7.5 to 8.0, so it is slightly alkaline rather than neutral. Test on a pre-tested surface before use. Read the safety data sheet before use.
Frequently asked questions
What is the pH of CRC Bio Degreaser?
CRC's technical data sheet gives 7.5 to 8.0 and the SDS gives 7.7, so it is slightly alkaline.
How do I dilute CRC Bio Degreaser?
