Selecting the right option

Using it

Do not apply while equipment is energised. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area.

Shake the can well. On a chain, apply to the upper edges of the overlapping side plates and let the lubricant set up before energising.

On wire rope, coat the entire surface so it penetrates between the strands. Apply directly to rollers and sprockets, and spray an even coat over the entire wear surfaces.

Storage and handling

Keep away from open flames and hot surfaces and protect from sunlight. Do not expose cans to temperatures above 50 °C and do not puncture or incinerate them, even when empty.

Limits and safety

SDS classification: signal word Warning. Pressurised container: may burst if heated (H229). Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects (H412). Transport class: UN 1950, Aerosols, Class 2.2. The SDS states the product is non flammable, but the can is pressurised, so do not puncture it or expose it to heat. CRC's technical data sheet says to use it only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area, and warns that deliberately sniffing or inhaling the concentrated spray can be harmful or fatal and that it causes skin and eye irritation.
