CRC TAC-2 Adhesive Lubricant Aerosol 300g

CRC TAC-2 is an adhesive lubricant that bonds to chain and wear surfaces, supplied as a 300g aerosol. CRC says it penetrates chain pin and bushing areas and wire rope strands, then thickens into a long lasting lubricant, and gives a temperature range of -25 °C to +165 °C.

CRC states it resists cold, hot and salt water wash-off and high temperature sling-off. The film is non-drying.

Selecting the right option

Using it

Read all directions and warnings. Switch off and de-energise the equipment, and shake the can well.

On a chain, apply to the upper edges of the overlapping side plates and let the lubricant set up before energising.

On wire rope, coat the whole surface so it penetrates between the strands. Spray an even coat over the entire wear surfaces. Do not apply while equipment is energised.

Storage and handling

Keep the can away from heat and ignition sources and do not expose it to temperatures above 50 °C.

SDS classification: signal word Danger. Extremely flammable aerosol (H222). Pressurised container: may burst if heated (H229). Causes skin irritation (H315). May cause drowsiness or dizziness (H336).
