Sutton SDS Max masonry drills and chisels use the larger-shank SDS Max system for heavy-duty rotary hammers in the 5–15 kg class. They are designed for large-diameter drilling and serious demolition work in reinforced concrete, rock, and structural masonry.
Where this product is used
Used with SDS Max rotary hammers for demanding drilling and demolition tasks in reinforced concrete, structural masonry, and rock.
- Large-diameter masonry drilling for post-installed anchor systems, HVAC penetrations, and structural connections in reinforced concrete and block work.
- Reo-bar and concrete demolition using SDS Max pointed, flat, and toothed chisels in demolition and renovation projects.
- Deep anchor holes and pile caps using extra-long SDS Max drills up to 1,500 mm in length for civil construction applications.
Selecting the right option
SDS Max suits drills from 20 mm diameter upward and heavy demolition work — below 20 mm, SDS Plus is usually more productive. Match chisel profile to the task: pointed for breaking, flat for chipping, toothed for rough surface preparation. Use flood cooling where possible for large-diameter holes to extend drill life.
