Dixon SAS22015 1/2" (15 mm) Deadman Ball Valve 316 SS BSP F x F

This Dixon deadman ball valve has a spring-return handle, so it closes by itself unless the operator holds it open. It is the three-piece version, with a 316 stainless steel body, a PTFE seat, CF8M (316 stainless steel) trim and female BSP ends. Dixon lists it in 5 sizes, from 1/2" to 2" (manufacturer-stated).

Dixon's catalogue prints the metric size of the 1/2 in valve as 12 mm. The store size follows the part number (SAS22015 is listed as 15 mm); the inch size is the same in both.

Selecting the right option

A deadman valve only stays open while the handle is held, so it suits attended draw-off points and not lines that must run unattended. Both ends are female BSP, so each side needs a male BSP thread.
