Dixon PPB075A 3/4" (20 mm) Polypropylene Camlock Type B Coupler x Male BSP

This Dixon camlock is a coupler with a male BSP thread in 30% glass-filled polypropylene. In Dixon's cam and groove system it is the female half of the joint, with the cam levers: an adaptor slides in and the levers are pressed down to lock it (manufacturer-stated). Dixon states that camlock couplings are designed for use with liquids and must not be used in compressed air or steam applications (manufacturer-stated). Dixon also states that polypropylene and nyglass fittings should not be mixed with aluminium fittings (manufacturer-stated).

The 25 mm size is not covered by the 15 to 20 mm and 32 to 50 mm bands in Dixon's polypropylene and nyglass rating table, so no figure is shown for it. Dixon footnotes PPB050A with: "Coupler size is 20mm". The store size option for that part is 15 mm, so check the size you need before ordering.

Selecting the right option

Type B has a male BSP thread, so it screws into a female BSP port. It connects to a Type A, E or F adaptor of the same size. Do not mix polypropylene fittings with aluminium fittings (manufacturer-stated). Check your media against the glass-filled body and the EPDM seal; the polypropylene and nyglass ratings are lower than the metal ones and fall as the size goes up. Dixon footnotes the 15 mm part PPB050A as "Coupler size is 20mm" (manufacturer-stated), which does not match the 15 mm size option in the store. Check the coupling size you need against the part number and ask us if you are unsure. For 25 mm, Dixon does not print a pressure figure in its Australian rating table; ask us before you specify it.
