8G-10 x 50 mm Square Drive Decking Screw, 304 Stainless Steel - SDSA28GX50
Available
Made in 304 (A2) stainless steel, the Imperial Square Drive Countersunk Decking Screw is a countersunk or trim head timber screw with a square drive and ribs under the head. It is used to fix decking boards and outdoor timber.
The range runs to 9 variants, covering sizes 8G-10 to 12G-11 and lengths 40 mm to 75 mm. Pack quantities depend on size: packs of 200 to 1000.
A2 stainless (grade 304) gives sound general corrosion resistance for inside work, fresh water and ordinary outdoor exposure. It is not the grade normally chosen for coastal, pool or marine work, where A4 (316) is recommended.
Austenitic stainless steel is generally non-magnetic, although cold-worked parts can show weak magnetism. In wet conditions, keep stainless steel apart from aluminium and galvanised steel with a washer or sleeve, to reduce the risk of galvanic corrosion.
