Loctite 248 Threadlocker Stick Medium Strength 19g

The Loctite 248 Medium Strength Threadlocker Stick is a blue, wax-like semi-solid threadlocker that locks and seals nuts, bolts and studs against vibration loosening. The no-drip stick goes straight onto the thread, so it suits overhead, vertical and field work where a liquid would run. It fixtures in about 5 minutes, handles -55°C to +150°C, gives 23 N·m breakaway torque on M10 steel and comes apart with standard hand tools. This is the 19 g stick.

Wind out just enough for the job, remove any skin from the top of the stick, and coat the threads where the nut will engage before tightening as normal. It works on stainless steel and plated parts as well as brass and copper, but is not normally recommended for plastics, particularly thermoplastics, or for oxygen-rich systems and strong oxidisers.
