Ultra-low viscosity of 40 mPa·s draws Loctite 290 between engaged threads by capillary action, locking and sealing fasteners that are already in place. No need to disassemble before applying, simply apply the product and let it wick. Doubles as a porosity sealant for weld seams and cast components, with medium-to-high strength retention from -55 to +150°C.

LOCTITE 290 is a green, medium-high strength threadlocker designed for locking and sealing threaded fasteners. Its low viscosity allows it to wick between engaged threads by capillary action, eliminating the need for disassembly before application. Ideal for sealing porosity in welds, castings and powdered metal parts. Breakaway torque (M10 steel): 10.0 N·m. Prevail torque: 29.0 N·m. Viscosity: 40 mPa·s. Fixture time: 20 min. Application temperature: -55 to +150°C. Colour: Green. Cure type: Anaerobic.
