Loctite 435 Prism Instant Adhesive

The Loctite 435 Toughened Instant Adhesive (formerly Prism 435) is a clear, rubber-toughened, low-viscosity cyanoacrylate for metals, plastics, elastomers and porous materials such as wood, leather and fabric. The rubber toughening gives it more flexibility, peel strength and shock resistance than a standard instant adhesive, so bonds cope better with knocks and impact. It fixtures on degreased steel in 30 to 45 seconds, reaches around 19 N/mm² lap shear on grit-blasted steel, and has been tested to Henkel protocols based on ISO 10993 for medical device work. This is the 25 ml bottle.
It is one part and cures from the moisture in the air, so it only needs clean, grease-free surfaces and a close fit, and it reaches full chemical and solvent resistance after at least 24 hours. Keep unopened stock in the fridge, and don't use it in pure-oxygen systems or for sealing chlorine and other strong oxidisers. Consult the Safety Data Sheet before use.
