The Loctite 460 Prism Low Odor/Low Bloom Instant Adhesive is a low-odour, low-bloom, low-viscosity cyanoacrylate for rapid bonding of metals, plastics and elastomers. It suits jobs where vapour is hard to control or where white blooming around the joint would spoil the look, and it works particularly well on porous materials like wood, paper, leather and fabric. It fixtures on steel in 10 to 30 seconds, reaches 21 N/mm² lap shear on grit-blasted steel, and works from -40°C to +80°C. This is the 25 ml bottle.
Apply a drop to one degreased surface only, without spreading it, then position the parts accurately within a few seconds; humidity drives the cure, and full strength builds over one to three days. Prime PP, PE and PTFE with a Loctite primer such as SF 770 first, keep gaps to 0.12 mm or less, and avoid pure-oxygen and strong-oxidiser service. Consult the Safety Data Sheet before use.
