Loctite SI 5699 High Performance RTV

The Loctite SI 5699 Grey Silicone Gasket Maker (formerly 5699) is a grey, one-part RTV oxime silicone that cures with moisture in the air to form a flexible, form-in-place rubber gasket. It is designed for rigid flanges such as transmissions and cast metal housings, with strong resistance to engine oil, gear oil and water/glycol coolant. The non-corrosive oxime cure suits corrosion-sensitive assemblies, and it works from -55°C to +200°C. Available in 300 ml and 95 g.

Dispense a bead on a clean, grease-free flange and mate the parts within a few minutes, as it starts curing on contact with air; it is tack-free in about 30 minutes, but give it time (for example seven days) before heavy service loads. It is not recommended for contact with petrol, or for oxygen-rich systems and strong oxidisers. Consult the Safety Data Sheet before use.
