Olfa RTY-2-DX 45mm Deluxe Rotary Cutter

The Olfa RTY-2/DX is a 45mm deluxe rotary cutter with a curved ergonomic handle, a squeeze trigger that exposes the blade and a dual-action safety lock (manufacturer-stated).

Olfa says the blade comes out only while the trigger is squeezed and retracts when it is released, and that the dual-action lock can hold the blade open or keep it closed for travel and storage. The curved handle is stated to reduce wrist and hand fatigue, and the grooves and cushioned rubber grip are stated to prevent slipping (manufacturer-stated).

Olfa states the cutter cuts up to 8 layers of cotton fabric in a single pass, and can be set up for left-handed use by assembling the parts inverted. It accepts all Olfa 45mm blades, including the RB45 and RB45H, and the PIB45 pinking, WAB45 wave and SCB45 scallop decorative blades (manufacturer-stated).
