M5 Rivet Nut, 304 Stainless Steel - RNLA2M5

The Right Hand Thread Rivet Nut, Large Flange, 304 Stainless Steel is a threaded insert that is set into a drilled hole in sheet metal or tube with a rivet nut tool. It leaves an internal thread for a bolt or screw where only one side of the sheet is accessible.

A2 (304) stainless steel is the common general-purpose austenitic grade. It resists corrosion well indoors, in fresh water and in most general outdoor conditions, but it is not recommended where chlorides are present, such as coastal, pool and marine settings. Choose A4 (316) there. Metric sizes are written M followed by the nominal thread diameter in millimetres, so M10 is a 10 mm thread.

You can choose from 3 variants, covering sizes M5 to M8. Each variant is supplied in packs of 100.

Austenitic stainless steel is generally non-magnetic, although cold-worked parts can show weak magnetism. In wet conditions, keep stainless steel apart from aluminium and galvanised steel with a washer or sleeve, to reduce the risk of galvanic corrosion.
