Stahlwille SW4650L T15 Drall+ Long Torx Screwdriver, 250 mm Blade, 335 mm Overall

The Stahlwille 4650L is the long version of the Drall+ Torx screwdriver for internal Torx screws: 4 tip sizes (T15, T20, T25 and T30), each with a 250 mm blade and an overall length of 335 to 365 mm. The blades are Chrome Alloy Steel, matt chrome plated with a black tip, hardened throughout and permanently anchored in the handle (manufacturer-stated).

The handle is a 3-component design that combines hard and soft components, which Stahlwille says gives optimised ergonomics, maximum force transmission and increased safety in daily use (manufacturer-stated). The 250 mm blade is the one to reach for when the screw sits deep in a recess or behind a flange. The tip number is the Torx size, so match it to the recess in the screw head; Stahlwille's English product page lists M3.5 for the T15, M4 for the T20, M5 for the T25 and M6 for the T30. Weights are not shown because Stahlwille's datasheet and 2017 brochure disagree. Stahlwille prints no torque rating and no striking instruction for this range, so use it as a hand screwdriver.

Selecting the right option

Pick the tip by the Torx recess in the screw head. For standard blade lengths and the smaller tips from T6 see the 4650 Drall+ Torx screwdrivers, and for a cross handle the 10769 T-handle Torx screwdrivers. For tamper resistant Torx screws see the 4699 Drall+ tamper resistant Torx screwdriver set. Where a ratchet gives the better access, the 49TX Torx screwdriver sockets, 3/8" drive fit a 3/8" drive.
