Stahlwille SW54CV M5 RIBE CV Spline Socket, 1/2" Drive, 60 mm Long

The Stahlwille 54CV is a range of RIBE CV spline sockets for 1/2" drive: 10 sizes from M5 to M16, each 60 mm long except the M16 at 63 mm, for spline socket head screws. Stahlwille's English page describes the range as for spline socket screws RIBE-CV, and the German datasheets print internal wedge profile screws (Innenkeilprofilschrauben).
RIBE CV is a spline (multi-tooth) screw profile, not a hexagon, so these sockets do not fit hexagon socket head screws. The sockets are Chrome Alloy Steel, chrome-plated. The datasheets print no DIN standard, no torque rating and no striking or extension instruction. The 2017 Stahlwille brochure lists vehicle applications: Fiat for the M7, M8, M9, M10, M12 and M13 sizes (brakes, cylinder head screws, bodywork and engine jobs) and Alfa Romeo cylinder head screws for the M13, M14 and M16. Check the screw before use, as these notes are from 2017.

Selecting the right option
Match the socket to the spline profile of the screw, not just the size: a hexagon socket will not fit. For hexagon socket head screws see the Stahlwille 54 INHEX sockets, and for tri-square profiles the tri-square sockets, 1/2" drive and long tri-square sockets, 1/2" drive. Turn them with a 512 1/2" drive reversible ratchet.
