The Sutton D501 SupaBore spade bit is a carbon steel spade bit with a 1/4" hex shank, designed for drilling timber and light building materials. The power chip-breaker edges are designed to cut 5 times faster than standard spade bits, and the heavy duty shank increases efficiency and battery life of your power tool, with clean cutting and minimal break out on exit. It is listed in 19 sizes from 6 to 40 mm, all 150 mm long.
It has a heavy duty shank for maximum strength and durability and greater power transfer, giving more holes per battery charge, a hex shank for positive grip that prevents slippage in the chuck, and a centre hole for pulling wires through holes. The bit is made from carbon steel with a manganese phosphate coating, which gives the highest hardness and superior corrosion and wear resistance. Extension shanks (D502, 150 mm and 300 mm) are available for use with spade bits of 19 mm and larger.
