Choosing Black Rat recovery gear
Match the strap rating to the vehicles involved. The snatch strap is listed in ratings from 9 tonne to 30 tonne, so check the minimum breaking strength (MBS) against the weight of the recovery vehicle and the stuck vehicle. A snatch strap stores energy as it stretches, while the nylon recovery strap is listed for heavy-duty recovery and towing. The snatch block redirects a winch line and can double pulling capacity, and the tree trunk protector protects the tree and the strap at an anchor point.
