Choosing gas welding equipment
Start with the gas. Each gas needs its own regulator, so match the regulator to the cylinder and check the inlet and outlet connection before you buy. Then match the torch and tips to the fuel. The titles show which tip or nozzle suits which gas: Type 41 and Type 551 are listed for oxygen/acetylene, and Type 44 and Type 554 are listed for oxygen/LPG.
Flashback arrestors help stop a flame travelling back into the hose and regulator. We list them for both the regulator end and the torch end. If you are building a set from scratch, an oxy kit with arrestors is a quicker way to get the right parts together.
Always check the data sheet. Confirm the gas, pressure range and connection of each regulator, tip and torch before use, and follow your site's procedures for oxy-fuel equipment.

Yes. Each gas has its own regulator, so use an oxygen regulator on oxygen and a fuel gas regulator on the fuel gas, and check the inlet and outlet connection matches your cylinder and hose.
What is the difference between Type 41 and Type 44 cutting nozzles?
