Construction and Materials

PVC lay flat hose is the standard choice for general water transfer applications. Woven polyester reinforcement carries the working pressure and prevents the hose from bursting under pump pressure; the weave pattern is visible on the outer surface of most PVC lay flat hoses. Rubber lay flat hose provides superior abrasion resistance and a broader temperature operating range, making it the preferred choice for aggressive dewatering applications involving grit, sand, and rocky debris that would wear through PVC construction prematurely.

Lay flat hose uses cam-and-groove (camlock) couplings or threaded BSP fittings to connect to pumps, headers, and discharge points.
