MIG Torches
AIMS Industrial sells MIG welding torches from Bossweld — Binzel-style (BZ15, BZ24, BZ36), Tweco-style (2 and 4), water-cooled and spool gun configurations for a broad range of MIG welding machines. A MIG torch is the hand-held welding gun that delivers wire, shielding gas and welding current to the weld pool — and selecting the right torch for your welder amperage and application is critical for consistent, quality MIG welding.
MIG Torch Series
- BZ15 (150A): A compact, lightweight torch for light-duty MIG welding up to 150A. Suits smaller MIG welders and general fabrication work with 0.6–0.9 mm wire. The Bossweld BZ15 Ergon is available in 3m, 4m & 5m options, whilst the BZ15 ECO is 3m long.
- BZ24 (240A): Mid-range torch for most workshop MIG welding applications. The Bossweld BZ24 Ergon handles 0.8–1.0 mm wire and suits 150–240A welding on mild steel and stainless.
- BZ36 (360A): Heavy-duty torch for high-amperage production welding. The Bossweld BZ36 Ergon suits 1.0–1.2 mm wire and semi-automatic welding applications at 250–360A.
- Tweco style: Tweco-style torches (Tweco 2, Tweco 4) are popular in Australian heavy fabrication and maintenance welding environments, using Tweco-pattern consumables (contact tips, nozzles, liners).
- Water-cooled: Bossweld Binzel Style Water-Cooled MIG Torch — for high-duty-cycle, high-amperage welding where an air-cooled torch would overheat. Used in robotic, semi-automatic and production welding environments.
- Spool gun: Bossweld Spool Gun 9 Pin Plug — a spool gun feeds wire from a small spool mounted on the gun itself, eliminating the wire feed liner entirely. Essential for welding aluminium with soft alloy wire that would kink in a standard torch liner.
- Fume extraction torch: BT Weld Fume Extraction MIG Torch — an integrated fume extraction system built into the torch. Captures welding fume directly at the source, the most effective fume control for high-exposure welding environments.
Torch Connection Types
MIG torches connect to the welder via a Euro (Binzel) connection or a machine-specific direct connection. Most modern MIG welders accept Euro-connection torches. When replacing a torch, confirm the connection type on your welder before ordering. AIMS can assist with connection type identification.
Typical Applications
- General workshop MIG welding on mild steel, stainless and aluminium
- Production and semi-automatic welding with BZ36 and water-cooled torches
- Aluminium MIG welding using the spool gun
- Welding with fume extraction requirements using the BT Weld extraction torch
- Torch replacement for existing MIG welders across major brands
