Swages

AIMS Industrial supplies swage terminals and swage fittings for wire rope termination and rigging applications. Swaging is the process of permanently deforming a metal sleeve fitting onto the end of a wire rope to create a secure, load-rated termination — delivering a clean, low-profile finish with no knots and no loose thimble hardware.

Swage terminal types available:

• Swage Eye Terminals — A closed loop (eye) end fitting for attaching to shackles, turnbuckles or anchorage points. The most common swage terminal for rigging and tensioning systems.
• Swage Fork (Clevis) Terminals — Open U-shaped fork end for pin connections to brackets, eyebolts or other fittings. Common in architectural, structural and marine tensioning.
• Swage Stud (Threaded) Terminals — A threaded stem end for direct connection to threaded connectors, turnbuckles and tensioners. Allows fine adjustment of wire rope tension.
• Swage Hook Terminals — For quick-release or load-hook connections in rigging and lifting configurations.

Swage terminals are available in 316 stainless steel for corrosion resistance in marine and outdoor environments, and in galvanised mild steel for general industrial and construction applications. Sizing is matched to wire rope diameter — typically 3mm through to 16mm.
