Devcon repair compounds at AIMS Industrial. Choosing a Devcon product
Start with what is damaged. For worn or cracked metal parts a Plastic Steel putty or liquid will rebuild the surface. For abrasion and erosion, such as chutes, pump casings and impellers, a ceramic or wear compound gives a harder surface. Urethanes suit rubber and flexible repairs, and a primer for the substrate improves adhesion. Check the cure time, working time and service temperature, and prepare the surface as the data sheet says, because surface preparation decides how well any repair compound holds.
Always check the data sheet. Confirm the product suits the material, temperature and fluid in your application.
