Choosing a grease coupler
Start with the nipple you are greasing, because the coupler has to match its head: standard or giant button head, flush type, or pin type. Then check the thread on your grease gun or hose, which is commonly 1/8 inch BSP or NPT, and choose a coupler to suit. For nipples that are hard to reach, a needlepoint or angled coupler can get in where a standard one cannot, and swivel couplers take the strain off the hose. If you are working at higher pressure, check the pressure rating of the coupler against your grease gun or pump.
