Hydraulic and BSP threaded fittings at AIMS Industrial. This collection lists 15 BSP threaded fittings, swivels, plugs and hose fittings from Dixon, AAP, Champion, Samoa, Alemlube and Macnaught. It includes stainless steel and galvanised BSP elbows and tees, a brass BSPP hose coupling, a BSPT hydraulic plug and grease and inlet swivels. We do not list hydraulic hose or hose assemblies in this collection. If you need a hydraulic fitting that is not listed, call us with the thread, size and pressure and we will check what we can supply. Our Hydraulic Fittings Guide explains thread types and sealing.

Choosing a fitting

Identify the thread first. BSP parallel (BSPP) and BSP tapered (BSPT) threads look alike but do not interchange, and neither does NPT, so confirm the thread on the port and the fitting. Then match the size, the material (stainless steel, brass, galvanised iron or bronze) and the pressure rating of the system. Use a sealing method that suits the thread: tapered threads seal on the thread with sealant, while parallel threads need a washer or seal. Check every fitting's rating before using it on a pressurised line.

Always check the data sheet. Confirm the thread, size, material and pressure rating before ordering.

Hydraulic fittings FAQs

What is the difference between BSPP and BSPT?

BSPP is a parallel thread that seals with a washer, O-ring or similar seal. BSPT is a tapered thread that seals on the thread with a sealant. They look similar but do not interchange.

Can I mix BSP and NPT fittings?

No. BSP and NPT have different thread forms, even where the sizes look close. Identify the thread on both parts before you connect them.

Do you list hydraulic hose assemblies?

Not in this collection. Call us with the hose, size and fittings you need and we will check what we can supply.

What materials are the fittings in this range?

316 stainless steel, galvanised malleable iron, brass and bronze. Check each product for the material and rating.

What is a grease swivel used for?

A swivel lets a hose or grease gun coupler turn freely at the connection so the hose does not twist. We list Samoa and Alemlube grease swivels and a Macnaught inlet swivel set.

What pressure are these fittings rated for?

Each fitting has its own rating, which depends on the material, size and design. Check the data sheet and keep the working pressure of your system within it.
