Choosing winch accessories
Start with the winch you have. Truck winch straps need the right width and length for your winch, and the hook end should match your anchor points: a J hook, or a hook and keeper. A sleeve protects the strap where it meets the load. Winch bars give the leverage to tension the strap, and the safety trigger version is listed for secure use.
Check the load rating shown on the strap, such as 2T LC or 2.5T LC, against the load you are restraining.
Always check the data sheet. Confirm the strap length, width and rating, and that the accessory fits your winch, before you use it to restrain a load.
