IKO BR UU needle roller bearings are machined type caged bearings without an inner ring, in inch sizes, with seals on both sides (UU). This page lists 11 sizes: 15.875 to 76.2 mm (5/8 to 3 in) shaft, 28.575 to 95.25 mm (1 1/8 to 3 3/4 in) outside diameter and 25.4 to 44.45 mm wide.
Machined type needle roller bearings have a low sectional height and large load ratings. The outer ring is rigid and can be used even in light alloy housings. Both sides carry seals made of special synthetic rubber, which keep dust out and hold the grease in, and the bearing is supplied prepacked with grease.
In the model number the figures after BR are the shaft diameter, outside diameter and width in sixteenths of an inch, so BR101816UU is 5/8 x 1 1/8 x 1 in. Without an inner ring the shaft is the raceway, so it needs to be heat-treated and ground.

Fw is the roller set bore diameter, D the outside diameter and C the width; C and C0 are the basic dynamic and static load ratings, and speed is the allowable rotational speed for grease lubrication.
Selecting the right option
Choose the size with the Outside Diameter option (in inches); the sizes table gives the shaft diameter, outside diameter and width in both millimetres and inches, so check the model number against the table.
The UU in the model number means seals on both sides. The open version of the series has no UU and is on the BR page.
LRBZ inner rings are the ring type for the BR series. Ask AIMS to match a ring to your size.
Fitting and use
These bearings are supplied prepacked with grease. The allowable rotational speed in the tables applies to grease lubrication. The outer ring has one oil hole with an oil groove.
The shaft is the raceway, so it needs to be heat-treated and ground. Ask AIMS for the shaft and housing tolerances and the radial clearance that suit your application.
