IKO RNA4901UU Needle Roller Bearing without Inner Ring 16 x 24 x 13 mm

This page holds two series of IKO machined type caged needle roller bearings without an inner ring and with seals on both sides (UU): 14 sizes of RNA49 UU (16 to 80 mm shaft, models RNA4901UU to RNA4914UU) and 13 sizes of RNA69 UU (16 to 72 mm shaft, models RNA6901UU to RNA6913UU).

Machined type needle roller bearings have a low sectional height and large load ratings. The outer ring is rigid and can be used even in light alloy housings. Both sides carry seals made of special synthetic rubber, which keep dust out and hold the grease in, and the bearing is supplied prepacked with grease.

Without an inner ring the shaft is the raceway, which allows a compact design and lets you choose the radial clearance by the shaft diameter. The shaft needs to be heat-treated and ground; where it cannot be, use a matching inner ring from the ring column of the sizes table.

Fw is the roller set bore diameter, D the outside diameter and C the width; C and C0 are the basic dynamic and static load ratings, and speed is the allowable rotational speed for grease lubrication.

Selecting the right option

Choose the size with the Inside Diameter (mm) option, which is the roller set bore diameter Fw (the shaft diameter), and the Width (mm) option. The model number is shown with each variant and in the sizes table.

This page mixes two series, RNA49 UU and RNA69 UU. Confirm the width as well as the shaft diameter, since RNA69 is wider than RNA49 for the same shaft diameter.

The UU in the model number means seals on both sides. The open version of the series has no UU and is on the RNA page.

The matching inner ring for a shaft that cannot be hardened and ground is shown against each size in the sizes table (LRTZ inner rings).

Fitting and use

These bearings are supplied prepacked with grease. The allowable rotational speed in the tables applies to grease lubrication. The outer ring has one oil hole with an oil groove.

The shaft is the raceway, so it needs to be heat-treated and ground. Ask AIMS for the shaft and housing tolerances and the radial clearance that suit your application.
