A reducing tee has a run of one size and a branch of a smaller size. This one is threaded inside (female) at all three ports. Sizes are listed as the run first, then the branch, for example 1 x 1/2. A is the length of the run, C the run outside diameter, D the branch outside diameter and E the height, as lettered on the AAP drawing.

AAP states that its steel threaded pipe fittings are made to BS EN 10241:2000 (manufacturer-stated). The black fittings have a black finish and the galvanised fittings (part numbers ending G) are galvanised. AAP states that all sizes of its fittings other than unions are sample tested to 5.2 MPa (manufacturer-stated). These are test pressures, not working pressures, so confirm the pressure and temperature for your application with AIMS before you order.
