1/2 in (15 mm) Short Thread Brass Ball Valve | VB15

This AAP short thread brass ball valve has a plastic-coated stainless steel lever and short female threaded ends. It is supplied in 4 sizes from 1/2 in (15 mm) to 2 in (50 mm).

A ball valve turns a ball with a hole through it between sealing seats. When the lever or handle is in line with the pipe the hole lines up with the flow and the valve is open, and a quarter turn closes it. AAP notes that the handle sits in line with the port, so it shows the valve position.

AAP lists it as a short general purpose brass ball valve in its Pacific range. The body is shorter than the Maxiflo general purpose valve in the same size, for example 47 mm long in 1/2 in (15 mm) against 60 mm, which helps where space along the pipe is tight. AAP does not give a separate pressure or temperature rating for the Pacific range in its catalogue, so confirm the rating for your duty with AIMS before you order.
