2 in (50 mm) Cast Steel Check Valve, ANSI 300 | VSC30050

This AAP cast steel flanged check valve has a WCB (ASTM A216) body and bonnet, a 410 (2Cr13) disc, a Stellite seat and ANSI Class 300 flanges. It is supplied in 4 sizes from 2 in (50 mm) to 8 in (200 mm).

A check valve lets fluid flow one way and closes against reverse flow, which protects pumps and equipment upstream. AAP does not say whether this valve is a swing or a lift pattern, so confirm the type and the mounting positions it suits with AIMS before you order if orientation matters.

AAP gives a maximum working temperature of 440 degrees C and a cold working pressure of 5,100 kPa (51 bar), with design to ANSI B16.34 and flange dimensions to ANSI B16.5 (all manufacturer-stated). AAP does not list applications for this valve. The pressure figure is the cold working pressure, so the allowable pressure falls as the temperature rises. Ask AIMS for the pressure and temperature rating if the valve will run hot.

Selecting the right option

Choose the size to match your ANSI Class 300 flanges, and check the hole count and hole diameter against your mating flange. Confirm the pressure and temperature rating for your duty with AIMS, and allow room for the valve to open.
