This AAP socket weld coupling is a 316/316L stainless steel forged fitting. It is supplied in 6 sizes, 1/2 in (15 mm) to 2 in (50 mm).
A coupling joins two pipes of the same size end to end. This one has a socket at each end for the pipe to be welded into. A is its length, B the socket bore diameter and C the bore of the fitting, as lettered on the AAP drawing.
AAP rates its stainless steel high pressure fittings at 3000 lb (manufacturer-stated) and lists them as 316/316L stainless steel to ASTM A182. AAP does not say which material its pressure and temperature chart covers, so AIMS does not quote it for stainless steel. Confirm the pressure rating at your operating temperature with AIMS before you order.

A is the length, B the socket bore diameter and C the bore of the fitting, as lettered on the AAP drawing. AAP prints two values for B and C at each size; they are shown here as printed, larger value first.
