1/4 in (8 mm) Socket Weld Equal Tee, 3000lb | PT08S
Available
This AAP socket weld equal tee is a forged carbon steel fitting. It is supplied in 8 sizes, 1/4 in (8 mm) to 2 in (50 mm).
An equal tee has three ports of the same size, so a pipe run can branch in one direction. This one has a socket at each port for the pipe to be welded into. A is the overall length of the run, D the centre to end dimension, B the socket bore diameter and C the bore of the fitting, as lettered on the AAP drawing.
AAP rates its socket weld high pressure fittings at 3000 lb (manufacturer-stated). AAP's pressure and temperature chart for screwed and socket welding fittings lists 3000 lb fittings at 3000 psi (about 20.7 MPa) from -20 to 100 degrees F (-29 to 38 degrees C), reducing to 355 psi (about 2.4 MPa) at 1000 degrees F (538 degrees C). AAP lists ASTM A105 carbon steel forgings among the standards for the range.

Selecting the right option
Choose the size to match your pipe, and weld the pipe into the socket in line with your site welding procedure. AAP also lists sizes in this range (PT06S, PT65S, PT80S, PT94S), which AIMS does not currently list. Ask if you need one.
