1/2 in (15 mm) Cross Over Hex Nipple, BSPT x NPT, 316 SS | PSTN15BN

This AAP cross over hexagon nipple is a 316/316L stainless steel forged fitting. It is supplied in 5 sizes, 1/2 in (15 mm) to 2 in (50 mm).

AAP lists this as a cross over nipple (BSP, NPT): a hexagon nipple that changes from a BSPT thread at one end to an NPT thread at the other, so a BSPT port can be joined to an NPT port. AAP does not say which end is which, so confirm it with AIMS before you order. A is its overall length and C is the width of the hexagon, as lettered on the AAP drawing.

AAP rates its stainless steel high pressure fittings at 3000 lb (manufacturer-stated) and lists them as 316/316L stainless steel to ASTM A182. AAP does not say which material its pressure and temperature chart covers, so AIMS does not quote it for stainless steel. Confirm the pressure rating at your operating temperature with AIMS before you order.

Check with AIMS which end is BSPT and which is NPT before you order, and check the thread gender at each end against the fitting it joins.
