1/2 in (15 mm) PVC Ball Valve, Socket | VPVC15S

This AAP PVC ball valve has socket ends. It is supplied in 6 sizes from 1/2 in (15 mm) to 2 in (50 mm).

A ball valve turns a ball with a hole through it between sealing seats. When the lever or handle is in line with the pipe the hole lines up with the flow and the valve is open, and a quarter turn closes it. AAP notes that the handle sits in line with the port, so it shows the valve position.

AAP names this range PVC ball valves, and its material list shows an ABS body and seal seat, an NBR ball stem seal, an EPDM handle, and PVC, CPVC or ABS for the O-ring and cap. AAP lists a 120 degrees C maximum working temperature and a cold working pressure of 800 kPa (8 bar) (manufacturer-stated). It suits agriculture, turf and home watering systems, per the manufacturer. Plastic valves lose pressure rating as temperature rises, so confirm the rating at your operating temperature with AIMS before using it on anything warm. AAP does not state the socket standard, so check the socket size against your pipe before you order.

Choose the size to match your pipe. AAP does not state the socket standard, so check the socket size against your pipe before you order. AAP also lists a screwed version, and a double union version where the valve needs to come out of the line.
