Key specifications

Available sizes

Model codes are the supplier's part numbers; the SKU is the AIMS part number. Dimensions are in inches with millimetres in brackets, as published in the supplier's catalogue.

Selecting the right option

An idler sprocket must match the chain it runs on. Match the chain number and the pitch, then the number of teeth and the bore for the bolt or shaft it mounts on.

The model codes, chain numbers, pitches and dimensions for each size are in the sizes table.

Measurements follow the catalogue drawing: A is the bore, B the hub diameter, C the outside diameter, D the tooth width.

If the size you need is not listed, send AIMS the chain number and the bore and we will check what is available.

The catalogue page for this product, with its dimension drawing, can be downloaded from the Catalogue section of this page. Dimensions are as published in the supplier's catalogue.

Fitting and use

Check the chain number and pitch of your chain against the table before ordering, and fit the idler on a bolt that matches the bore.

Line the idler up with the chain path so the chain runs square on the teeth, and set chain tension to the drive manufacturer's figure.

The bearing is sealed and lubricated at the factory. Keep water, grit and solvents away from the seals, and replace the idler if the bearing runs rough or noisy.
