M3 Allthread Rod, 304 Stainless Steel - ATRA2M3X1000
Available
The Allthread Rod 304 Stainless Steel is available in 11 sizes (M3 to M24) and is a straight rod threaded along its full length. It is cut to length and used with nuts and washers to hang, tie, clamp or span between two fixing points.
This listing has 11 variants covering sizes M3 to M24.
A2 (304) stainless steel is the common general-purpose austenitic grade. It resists corrosion well indoors, in fresh water and in most general outdoor conditions, but it is not recommended where chlorides are present, such as coastal, pool and marine settings. Choose A4 (316) there. Metric sizes are written M followed by the nominal thread diameter in millimetres, so M10 is a 10 mm thread.
Austenitic stainless steel is generally non-magnetic, although cold-worked parts can show weak magnetism. Use stainless washers and nuts with stainless fasteners, so the whole joint is made of the same material.

Selecting the right option
Match the thread system to the nuts and fittings you already have: metric coarse, metric fine, UNC and BSW rods are not interchangeable. Cut rods can leave a burr, so run a nut over the cut end before use. Near the coast, around pools or in marine settings, use the A4 (316) version instead: Allthread Rod 316 Stainless Steel.
