M2 Hex Nut, 304 Stainless Steel - XNUA2M2
Available
The Metric Standard Hex Nut, 304 Stainless Steel is available in 14 sizes (M2 to M30) and is a six-sided nut that screws onto a bolt, stud or threaded rod and is tightened with a spanner or socket.
A2 stainless (grade 304) gives sound general corrosion resistance for inside work, fresh water and ordinary outdoor exposure. It is not the grade normally chosen for coastal, pool or marine work, where A4 (316) is recommended. Metric sizes are written M followed by the nominal thread diameter in millimetres, so M10 is a 10 mm thread.
This listing has 14 variants covering sizes M2 to M30. Variants are supplied in packs of 10 to 200, depending on size.
Austenitic stainless steel is generally non-magnetic, although cold-worked parts can show weak magnetism. Stainless threads can gall (seize) when tightened under load or at speed. A smear of anti-seize on the thread and a steady tightening speed reduce the risk.

Selecting the right option
Match the nut to the bolt: thread system, diameter and pitch must all agree, and metric, UNC and BSW nuts do not interchange. Where a nut is tightened repeatedly, use anti-seize, because stainless threads can gall. For coastal or chloride-exposed use, choose the A4 (316) version: Metric Standard Hex Nut - 316 Stainless Steel.
