M8 x 1.0 Metric Fine Hex Nut, 316 Stainless Steel - XNUA4FM8
Available
The Hex Nut Metric Fine A4 (316) is a six-sided nut that screws onto a bolt, stud or threaded rod and is tightened with a spanner or socket.
The A4 (316) grade is stainless steel with added molybdenum, which helps it hold up where salt, pool chemicals or washdown chemicals are present. It is the more corrosion-resistant of the two common stainless grades, at a higher cost than 304. Metric fine (fine pitch) thread has more threads per millimetre than standard metric coarse thread, so it does not mate with coarse-thread nuts or tapped holes.
You can choose from 5 variants, covering sizes M8 x 1.0 to M16 x 1.50. Variants are supplied in packs of 50 to 100, depending on size.
Austenitic stainless steel is generally non-magnetic, although cold-worked parts can show weak magnetism. In wet conditions, keep stainless steel apart from aluminium and galvanised steel with a washer or sleeve, to reduce the risk of galvanic corrosion.

Selecting the right option
Match the nut to the bolt: thread system, diameter and pitch must all agree, and metric, UNC and BSW nuts do not interchange. Where a nut is tightened repeatedly, use anti-seize, because stainless threads can gall.
