Beaver Jax Squat 12 Tonne Hydraulic Bottle Jack, 190-360 mm Height (BJS012)
Available
The Beaver Jax squat bottle jack is the shorter jack in the Jax range, for vehicles where a 12 to 20 tonne lift is needed but ground clearance does not exceed 195 mm (manufacturer-stated). This listing carries two capacities, 12 tonne (BJS012) and 20 tonne (BJS020). Beaver describes the range as heavy duty steel construction for the automotive, industrial and construction industries (manufacturer-stated).
Beaver states the range is tested to comply with AS/NZS 2693 (manufacturer-stated). The ACCC's guide describes AS/NZS 2693 as covering vehicle jacks up to and including 8 tonnes, so for any model above 8 tonnes ask AIMS for Beaver's compliance documentation if you need it.
A jack lifts a load; it is not a support. The ACCC's product safety guide for vehicle jacks warns that working under a vehicle supported only by a jack can be fatal, and says no part of the body should be under a vehicle supported by a jack. It also advises using the jack on level, firm ground where possible and chocking the wheels. Follow the instructions supplied with the jack and keep the load within the rated capacity.

If clearance is tight, confirm the dimensions of the jack supplied before ordering. Beaver's maximum height includes the screw adjusting height. Beaver does not define dimension letters D, D2, H2 and W; they refer to its diagram.
Selecting the right option
Choose a capacity above the load the jack will carry and check the minimum height against the clearance under the lifting point. If you have more clearance to work with, the Jax bottle jack range also covers 4 to 15 tonne.
