Made in 304 (A2) stainless steel, the BSW Phillips Head Countersunk (Machine) Screw is a machine-thread screw with a flat countersunk head and a Phillips cross recess. The head sits flush in a countersunk hole.
You can choose from 36 variants, covering sizes 1/8" to 5/16" and lengths 1/4" to 4". Every size comes in packs of 100.
The A2 (304) stainless material suits indoor, fresh water and typical outdoor use. Where the fastening is exposed to salt air, pool chemicals or marine conditions, A4 (316) is the grade to use instead. BSW (British Standard Whitworth) is an older inch-based thread found on older machinery and imported equipment. It is not interchangeable with UNC or metric threads.
Use stainless washers and nuts with stainless fasteners, so the whole joint is made of the same material.

Selecting the right option
The material needs a countersink cut to suit the head. Use a correctly sized Phillips driver and avoid power drivers at speed. A drop of anti-seize on the thread helps prevent galling.
